What a beautiful wedding! A few words come to mind when I think about Elissa and Jimmy’s Springfield wedding – patience, faith, perseverance, kindness, and of course, love. These words were also echoed in the way they were described by those closest to them. As far back as high school, where they first met and dated, their faith journey has played a major role in their life paths, going their separate ways and beautifully back together again. Elissa and Jimmy are a great reflection of their parents and their family – really great people. Receiving by mail, a note from Karla, Elissa’s mom, after the wedding was wonderful, but not surprising. It was truly a pleasure getting to know them all and we feel privileged and humbled that they chose us to film their winter wedding day.

Jimmy spent his morning getting ready at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel, located in the heart of Springfield, Illinois. He was joined by his family and close friends, almost all of whom are also in the military. Coverage of Elissa kicked of at The Gallery salon, where she and her pajama-clad bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done for the day. After getting ready, Elissa did a first look with her dad and exchanged gifts with her parents, followed by her and Jimmy’s first look. It was a cold day, but these two embraced it and we had a great time capturing some creatives of them around the capitol. They were at such ease expressing how they feel about each other. Their ceremony was held at the historic First Presbyterian Church (where President Lincoln and his family attended, beginning in 1850). Their reception was hosted at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel where DJ, Howard Wallach guided us through the evening with such energy and enthusiasm that the dance floor was packed the entire evening!

Elissa and Jimmy exited the reception to cheers with ribbons and the sound of bells, and rode off by horse-drawn carriage into the crisp winter night. It was a fantastic way to end the evening and a great way for Pancho3 to close out 2018. A special thanks to Cassandra Dattoli for connecting us with Elissa and Jimmy for their Springfield wedding videography. Presented below is the feature film we created for their day…
