We’ve photographed quite a few weddings in Highland, Illinois over the years. This was however, our first at the newly opened and renovated Olde Wicks Factory Special Events Center. Hannah and Tyler held their wedding ceremony at this unique venue, while their reception was hosted at the Highland Knights of Columbus Hall. The ceremony venue, Olde Wicks, is formerly the Pipe Organ Company, and has received renovations for comfortably hosting weddings (and other events). The building is over 100 years old and features beautiful stained glass, large rooms, rich exposed brick, as well as lovely outdoor spaces on an expansive property. Hannah and Tyler’s wedding was the first indoor wedding to be hosted at Olde Wicks.
Tyler hung out with his guys by the grill in the morning, before heading over to Olde Wicks where Hannah and her girls were to also getting ready for the day. Hannah is one of the most energetic and fun-loving brides we’ve photographed. Their day was that – energetic and fun, with multiple appearances of t-shirts of Hannah, from her appearance in one of Gretchen Wilson’s music videos. Following the ceremony, we captured some portraits in the West Hall, as well as, outside with the old truck that’s been a family treasure for many decades. The wedding party hung out at Ethel’s Bar, just a few miles away and also in Highland, before heading to the reception. Presented below are a few of our favorite photos from throughout the day…
Ceremony: Olde Wicks Factory. Reception: Highland Knights of Columbus Hall. DJ: Livewire Entertainment. Band: Orr & Rolens Band. Hair and Makeup: Tru Design, Patty’s. Florist: Wedding Rental on a Budget.
