Wedding Photography Details
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Chances are good you’ve heard this phrase before. These are some of the traditional things we incorporate into our wedding day. They have been passed down from generation to generation. These items could be a handkerchief, a ring from your grandma, or the color of your garter. We know you put thought and effort into the little things, so we dedicate time to capture them (if capturing them are essential to you). Some of these items might be decorations you like because of the way they look or fit with the theme of your day. Some of them, though, might say a lot about you, your family, your culture, or your relationship, so we take great care to give them the attention they deserve.
Our goal is to go far beyond them when it comes to capturing the many small details and moments of your wedding day. The hands of your mom, sister or your maid-of-honor that might be carefully helping you get in your wedding dress, your wedding rings juxtaposed, or the way your fingers fit together and you hold hands and walk together. These are examples of the kind of details we pursue during your day. Anything we think you might want to remember from your experience or we feel might be meaningful to you that day or years later, we are sure to capture creatively.
We gain an understanding of the wedding details that are important and significant to each couple before the day. It’s easier to capture those details if we know what to look for. Taking the time to get to know each couple through the engagement session and the pre-wedding consultation goes a long way in this effort. It allows us to seamlessly photograph the many details while allowing the couple to experience their day as organically and as unobtrusively as possible.
