2014 seems like yesterday to me. Hard to believe it’s been four years since we captured Jessie and Michael’s (Gweed) wedding day. Well, just like a snap of a finger, here we are at the end of 2018 spending the day with Jessie’s sister, Casey for her wedding day. Casey and Matt had an outside ceremony, by a lake in Damiansville, Illinois, with their reception hosted at the Aviston American Legion.
We met up with Casey, her girls, and her bridesman at her folks’ home to capture them preparing for the day. Matt hung out with his guys and got ready in St. Rose, Illinois. Their first look was a little different than the usual, as they included their twin boys. We followed up the first look with some creatives of Casey and Matt, as well as with their wedding party. The setting was beautiful and the weather was perfect — with a gentle breeze making it’s way across the lake. We flowed from the creatives right into their outdoor ceremony.
Following the ceremony, we traveled to Kassen’s Bridge for a few portraits. That didn’t last very long as we were chased off by some huge and relentless mosquitos. Big props to Matt and Casey though, as they hung in there for a few shots. They swung by Fuehne’s Tavern for a few drinks and games before heading over to the Aviston Legion Hall for the reception. It was a great day and a fun night, capped off for us with the same-day-edit video we created for them (see below photos).
